So I know the clock stops at 999:59, so I was trying to get up to the Spear Pillar for that. Earlier today I had the clock at 998:57, and did a trade with a friend. The trade took less than five minutes...but when I left the Wi-Fi Room, it told me my clock was at 999:59.

How exactly did I gain an hour? By my calculations I should be at 999:02 or something!

A comment in a recent post about Eevee evolutions brought this question to mind. Pokemon evolutions that are location-specific: Can they be accomplished by another way in HGSS? I've been training up a Magnemite of mine, and I have plans to turn it into a Magnezone someday. Would I have to trade it to DPPt, evolve it there, and then trade it back? Or is there some way to do so in HGSS?

Also, I had a question about the Pokewalker. In locations where the amount of steps you take unlocks certain Pokemon that can be captured, is that in total steps for that day overall, or total steps in that particular area?

Thanks for any help anyone can give.

So. I got my SoulSilver and a pokewalker on the day that they came out. This morning, I couldn't find my Pokewalker in the car when my friend picked me up for school. After school, I came to find that my Pokewalker had been smashed into a hundred pieces by his tire on the road.

Already called my Gamestop. They said that they don't carry Pokewalkers without the game. I can't afford to buy another game.

I don't know what to do. I'm really depressed. My Gamestop Jirachi was on it too. :( I don't care much about the Jirachi, but I'm SUPER depressed about my Pokewalker. I gathered every piece I could find and put them in the bag.

Is there any way I can get another without buying a new game? :(

I should be getting Soul Silver sometime very soon now (hopefully today, if my neighbor is in when I get back home, as I think he picked up my package), and although I won't be playing it for a little while yet while I finish some breeding, my mind is still buzzing about what I'm going to do when I start it up. One of the biggest questions is whether I want to go with Gold/Ethan or Lyra as my character.

Now, while I'm a girl, I'm kind of a tomboy and prefer to play as the male character in most of the roleplaying games I get into. Had I picked up Crystal way back when, I'd've gone with Gold over Kris. For Platinum, I went with Lucas. And while I think Lyra's design is kind of cute, I am still leaning towards Gold again, and I think I kind of prefer his game sprites a little more. Also someone I know on-campus who is a huge Poké-dork is also named Ethan and it'll be a little awkward to see his name used in-game for Gold. At the same time, though, I'm kind of wanting to try something a little different, and I have a name I like picked out for the girl character if I go with her, so I remain unsure.

What do you guys think? Should I go with Gold again and stick with my usual nickname (Kino), or should I try Lyra, renamed Lily? (Lily comes from a handle I've picked up recently, and I think it's perdy, so.) And if you ever find yourself asking the same question for a game you're starting up, what do you tend to do?

So I'm currently in Goldenrod in the game, and I haven't for the past several hours since I've been playing Voltorb Flip. I mean damn, this game is incredibly addicting, and the fact that you can't lose coins from playing it makes it even better. I've already managed to get a dratini, plus another 4500 coins. I'm hoping to rack up a couple ten thousands so I can get the tms, which at this point are a bonus since all I want to do is keep playing this game!

I've read however that some people are having trouble at this game, so I figured I'd drop whatever advice I could from the time I've spent playing it, which is probably common sense, but oh well.

1. Mark off and avoid all the rows where the number of coins and Voltorbs add up to 5.

2. Flip open all the rows with zero Voltorbs.

3. If you manage to flip open a 2 or 3, CHECK if it makes the rest of the row obsolete. If you get a 3, and the row itself has 1 Voltorb and 6 coins, the rest of the tiles become useless and should not be touched.

Obviously there is still some luck involved, especially from level 4 and beyond, but this strategy should help you pass levels 1-3 with little problem. Just remember that the more rows you eliminate, the more likely you'll get the tiles you want.

I hope this helps people who have been struggling with this game!
